Here are a few of our cakes inspired by recent movies! Frozen, Captain America, and How to Train Your Dragon are just previews of the kind of themed cakes that we can create. Favorite characters sculpted from fondant come to life atop these award winners that will certainly win your guests over when it’s show time. No popcorn necessary – not when there is delicious cake to be had!
This gorgeous three tier wedding cake has been frosted with our textured buttercream look to give it a rustic feel, which matches this venue perfectly. Elliston Vineyards provides a quiet, nature-filled ambiance, and the flowers and leaves the bride and groom picked out for their decorations incorporates that theme on every tier. The greenery is fresh and speckled with dusky burgundy leaves, along with small splashes of color from the pale pink, purple, and white roses. Ribbons of ivy twine around the tiers as well to complete the design.
The vibrant colors of this wedding spread are bursting with the feeling of summer. The red and yellow flowers on the table and on the cake itself tie in the dessert bar with the three tier cake for a lovely display suiting a warm, sunny day. Red velvet cake with cream cheese and white cake with raspberry mousse cake bites, chocolate covered strawberries, cream puffs, and éclairs are only a few of the variety of desserts here at this reception held at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton.
Graduation season has been bursting at the seams with all kinds of delicious treats for high school and college graduates alike. Cupcakes topped with grad caps and diplomas are perfect for large parties, while the towering tier cakes add to the décor by showing off their school spirit. Congratulations Class of 2014!
This weekend we made a lot of cakes with custom fondant toppers. Which one of them is your favorite?
This lovely cake was admired and enjoyed last weekend at the Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. The elegant buttercream beading pattern on the second tier really ties in with the floral top and bottom tiers without it being too much. Sweet and beautiful, it’s a great cake design for a late spring/early summer wedding.
Here’s a good look at one of our recent wedding cakes, towering over the guests at five tiers tall, perfectly symmetrical, with a textured buttercream design for a rustic look. The splash of yellow flowers on top and the shimmer of rhinestone monograms and ribbons make this cake well suited for a grand wedding.
Here is a beautiful, two tier wedding cake just perfect for this time of the year. The flowers are edible, as are the delicate branches reaching around the base of the cake. A light blue color for the buttercream completes the look, a perfect complement to the yellow, brown, and white.
You don’t always have to get a big cake to make a big statement. These single tier cakes have dressed to impress, with a variety of sizes to choose from to suit any event’s needs.
Here we have a cake inspired by My Fair Lady. With elegant lace and a fun black and white striped bow laid over ivory buttercream, this cake is certainly one of our most fair and ladylike designs.
